Amazon has secured new agreements that will enable users to shop directly from TikTok and Pinterest without leaving those platforms, according to The Information. Now, users can buy items from Amazon ads that appear on these social media sites.
TikTok users will see Amazon product recommendations on the app's "For You" feed, according to the post. In the US, TikTok users will also see real-time pricing, delivery estimates, product details and eligibility for Amazon's paid subscription service Prime.
Rather than being redirected to Amazon’s site, users can complete their purchases within TikTok or Pinterest using the payment and shipping details saved in their Amazon accounts.
To finalize the checkout without exiting the TikTok app, users must connect their profile with an Amazon account.
